(More customer reviews)I own a small but much loved collection of Smith and Wesson classic revolvers that have 6 inch barrels.A bit too long in the muzzle for carrying concealed obviously and in a car a belt holster is guaranteed to ride up and jab you in the ribs.Soooo I liked the fact this one holster can accomodate my 19, my 17 (!) and my classic 29.Should be great for hunting and hey Dirty Harry used one in the movie as a duty rig, right?

After getting it and fiddling with the straps and belt tie down loop I have to say it is close but not really comfortable.The right shoulder strap is just a long loop of skinny elastic webbing, not padded leather or anything of the sort.The height of the gun occupies a space from below my belt almost to my armpit (gee it lets you know these really ARE big guns).Not real comfortable.

But not terrible.I am not really sure what I am complaining about.The rig works as advertised.I am just saying there is a limit to how comfortable you are going to be if you want to strap a big S&W revolver up high inside your jacket.Now I know why the hunting guys wear them low slung and the hell with style.Plus if I go camping you bet I will put my 29 in my other Bianchi holster, a belt rig.It carries way good on a wide Bianchi belt even if it is plain view.

That's my opinion.Pretty good design but you need to know what it feels like.
